Pursuant to Circular 17 of the State Bank of Vietnam, from July 1, 2025, customers who are organizations that have not updated the biometric information of the Legal Representative will be suspended from withdrawal transactions and electronic payment transactions on the current account.
To comply with regulations, avoid transaction disruptions, and enhance security, IVB hereby notifies and recommends that Corporate/Organizational Customers complete the update of biometric information for the legal representative of the account (hereinafter referred to as the “Legal Representative”) using a valid personal identification document, before July 1, 2025.
Customers may update the Legal Representative's biometric information through one of the following methods:
- Online: If your Legal Representative is Vietnamese and using IVB Mobile Banking, biometric information can be updated directly on the app.
- At the counter: If your Legal Representative is Vietnamese and not using IVB Mobile Banking or your legal Representative is a foreigner, please visit the nearest IVB branch or transaction office nationwide. Please bring the following documents:
We affirm that this regulation by the State Bank of Vietnam is aimed at ensuring the security and safety of payment accounts, preventing fraudulent transactions involving rented, purchased, or borrowed accounts, and minimizing customer losses in the event of scams or information theft.
